Help build the Open Physical AI Coalition: research how AI meets the physical world through robotics, autonomous systems and embodied AI, and how to make it safe.

About the role
Physical AI brings intelligence into robots, vehicles, devices and infrastructure. As our Physical AI Intern, you will support the Open Physical AI Coalition with research, landscape mapping and convenings that help industry, researchers and policymakers deploy physical AI responsibly.
What you will do
- Research trends, use cases and safety considerations in robotics, autonomous systems and embodied AI
- Map companies, labs, standards bodies and initiatives in the physical AI ecosystem
- Draft briefs, landscape reports and blog posts for the Coalition
- Support Coalition meetings, workshops and demos at AI 2030 events
- Help evaluate startups and pilot opportunities for the Accelerator
What we are looking for
- Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a degree in engineering, computer science, robotics or a related field
- Strong research and writing skills
- Curiosity about robotics, autonomous systems and AI safety
- Ability to work independently and on a distributed team
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with robotics, ROS, simulation or computer vision
- Familiarity with safety standards for autonomous systems
